Pilot summary:
At Apple-Birch, a for-profit school for at-risk youth, the idealistic new teacher, Mr. Klein, has more than a few surprises in store for him on his first day in this unique and terrifying environment. It’s a toss up as to who’s the most alarming to him – the students or the other teachers! Can he adjust his expectations to the reality? Well, if he’s going to survive, he’d better throw out his video of Goodbye Mr. Chips and buy Fort Apache The Bronx!

Kenneth Yoder is a Chicago-based independent filmmaker who makes his living working on larger studio productions. His 19 feature film and television crew credits include Public Enemies, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Wanted, Eagle Eye, Batman Begins, The Weatherman, and Prison Break. He also line-produced a comedy television pilot called Chicagoland, which was executive-produced by Scott Thompson of Kids in the Hall fame. His formal comedy training is from The Second City Writing Program, The Annoyance Theater, and i.O.Chicago. Currently he is developing a long form comedic travel show to be produced in 2010 and shot on location in Lima, Peru.
