Prize

The pilot entered in The Chicago Comedy TV Pilot Competition that receives the highest rating by the jury (see “Judging of the Entries” page) will receive a $5,000 cash prize provided by the Chicago-based Alberto-Culver Company.

Alberto-Culver Company, which has been located in the Chicago area since 1955, manufactures, distributes and markets leading personal care products including Alberto VO5, St. Ives, TRESemme and Nexxus in the United States and internationally. The company started out in its Melrose Park facility with a single product – Alberto VO5 conditioning hairdressing – and over the years has grown to become a multi-billion-dollar business, and one of Chicago’s leading companies.

Alberto-Culver Company is known as a corporate good citizen. One of its well-known projects is the Leonard and Bernice Lavin Scholarship Award Program for local students, named after the company’s founders.
